Marton Mills Co Ltd was founded in 1931 predominantly manufacturing knitted textiles prior to a move to woven fabrics in 1980 in response to a changing market. As a family owned and managed business, pride is taken with every order independent of size, to ensure the highest quality of fabric is woven.
The latest technology is used in the production process, through investment in the VTA and Karl Myer warping machines and a combination of Sulzer and Somet looms. Through this flexible integration of weaving machines, we are able to produce a wide variety of fabrics, ranging in composition from synthetic to natural, and in structure from plain weaves and twills to tartans, checks and stripes.
The fabric is used in a wide range of applications. In excess of 1000 product lines enable Marton Mills? fabric to be utilized throughout the clothing and furnishing industries, from school wear to military dress, corporate wear to kilts, high end country attire and traditional club blazers. The Turley range offers a collection for ecclesiastical use.
Marton Mills? joint ownership of Roberts Dyers and Finishers ensures that our high standards of quality and care are managed and maintained though out every aspect of the production process. Fabric woven to individual specifications can be finished to suit a particular end-use, from a simple TeflonŽ coating, a rainwear proof, a flame-retardant finish or the latest NanosphereŽ technology

A personal bespoke design service provides an opportunity for our customers to try something new; CAD artwork, yarn shade samples and expert advice is available. Our state of the art Karl Myer warping machine provides the means to produce as little as 13 metres of cloth for small orders or garment trials.
